how long do you think it will be before?

how long do you think it will be before things on earth really start to get bad and wierdo, also how long do you think it will be before coastal areas like long island and other islands will be history?! (like i mean how many ears!??)
*** years!!

It’s not so much a matter of when, since climatic changes, natural disasters, and environmental damage has already begun. The real question is, when will society finally try to do something about it?

It’s only a matter of days. Buy a boat and life preservers.

I just act like everyone else and run around like a chicken with its head cut off cuz half of the people in the world now days have their heads so far up their @**es that they have the slightest clue on what is actually going on in the world.

I don’t believe it will ever happen, but lets just say that global warming is proved true beyond a shadow of a doubt eventually. These changes that environmentalist love to scare people with, will not happen in our lifetimes. At least not drastic changes anyway. You will not see entire islands disappearing.

Since the ice caps have already displaced the water they sit in, the seas will rise mere inches. That is IF, the ice caps melt. But, they’ve melted in the past, they’re melting now, and 10,000 years from now, they’ll melt again.

Meanwhile, during the ice free phase, just as in the past, you can go up north and look at the palm trees, just like there used to be in Greenland. And just to be intellectually honest, "Greenland" was named not because it was green with vegetation, but it’s a mispronouciation of "Grønland."

So with any luck, coastal areas will be underwater within the next 10,000 years or so. If anything is going to shape a coastline, it’s the next big earthquake in California which, because of the San Andreas Fault, could actually split California in two.

In about another 10-15 as the current cooling trend continues– the GW issue will fade from public discussion and become an urban legend perpetuated by political opportunists.

The world will go on exactly like today— and all the "funding" will dry up as the truth that we cannot change the Earth’s temperature becomes evident to everyone. Only Star Trek actors can terraform a planet.
