Hi im 23 and my fiance is 24 next year we want to buy our first home in long island.or queens area.but we dont know how to get the process started.(paperwork). I would like to know what place can help me purchase a home at a great deal/steal .I.E (mortage,loans etc).it will be apreciated .and whats the lowest down payments for a 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom .
be easy and make sure you get a FIXED mortgage… be married first..
2nd make sure you UNDERSTAND THE TAXES and miscellaneous bills in the area and county…. like water and land taxes and city taxes..
i would suggest rent around that area first… cheap deals go to the local town courts and ask about real estate auction for houses… there are a lot of those lately…………… get all the facts and make a wise choice…

Either get a copy of Newsday or check newsday.com online for home listings. It’s probably better to look at some houses, see what is out there and what it costs, and then start to line up financing. Credit Unions usually give better rates on loans. You could look into banking with a credit union; that might help.
