Eleven long years we have had to endure this lousy government. Waterfront reform has benefitted only the stevedoring companies with bigger profits but we still aren’t competitive. Health care is a mess with nurses on strike, hospitals with beds closed, nursing homes with gastro and other problems, no doctors in rural areas. Refugees are still in the island camps. We have overspent and bought the wrong military aircraft. We are in a war which later generations will judge us harshly on. We have a second rate internet system. The net is full of porn and offensive emails and out of control & no-one seems to care. Our TV stations are offending Christians & Muslims daily. Drugs are flooding our schools, sport & workplaces. Corruption is all over the place and bouyed by government arrongance. Do I care what happens to the coalition. Yes I hope the sink in their own self-induldence …goodbye to you for hopefully years to come!
don’t know where you are exactly but it sounds like a bad case of the the NWOrders -in which case changing one political group for another isn’t going to change much . campaign for direct democracy it’s the best solution for the ills of our times. the world over.

Yeah, I guess that explains why you just settled on "The End is Near" for your sandwich board.

Amen! It sure is time for change. I am with you, and it makes me sick to think about how the corporations of American are getting better treatment than it’s people. This place is a mess. I think the French had a good thing …. revolution, and keep people responsible. Take Louis XVI – off with his head. If our government had the same influence, would things be different?

Yeah, I agree with you about the government, but you are wrong about others. Compared to times when people fought each
other to the death for entertainment, the internet is mild. If you don’t like porn or emails, then stop clicking on it. No one forces you to look at stuff. Religions have been at it for centuries and worse than just being "offensive". Drugs are a personal choice too. If you don’t want to do it don’t. I don’t see how things are getting worse. Relax.

Have you checked out Ron Paul? He really does sound like hope for America. I think that a lot of the things you mention are things in your own backyard. I haven’t owned a TV for 20 years. Don’t like the nursing home situation, get involved. I live too far to visit my grands, so I take the kids to the local home once a week and they visit and play music (most of my family members do live near my grands or I would move them nearer). Don’t like your school? homeschool, or start a local charter or co operative learning center. No doctor in a rural area? go to med school (some rural communities will pay tuition in return for a number of years of service after graduation), or learn how to take care of yourself with alternative treatments. I am scared because so many people feel these things are the government’s responsibility in this country and the more we expect them to take care of everything for us, the higher our taxes go, the more freedom we lose (agribusiness wants our government to say it is a terrorist activity to grow our own food – one grass fed beef company offered to pay to test all of it’s cows for mad cow disease and the govt outlawed it on the basis it would give them an unfair advantage – in what? safe food), I truly believe our nation has lost touch with the fundamental beliefs that founded this country.

for all you doom sayers
you should check out what the locals were saying back 100 or 150 years ago about the world and what they thought was gonna happen… and then compare it with what is said today..

Would you care to say country you are in.
You said 11 years so I believe that puts you in England.
Throw the socialists out and get back to capitalism and see if life doesn’t improve.

My suggestion is that you start emailing and faxing TV and radio Stations to make changes in programming…Get involved and get your friends and family involved. Definite time for Change and Don’t give up or in…We should be drilling for our own oil too for the preservation and safety of the Nation. There are ways to do it without harming the environment and more cost efficient. Tired of being a slave to Big Corporations.

Not to mention the 2 million dollars a year of taxpayers money to allow Howard to live a Sydney life style when he should be in Canberra.
I have had a gut full, he has lied and mislead the Australian people for far too long.

I dont care either……
No its a shame that Aussies have voted three terms in a row for the Libs and have continually been conned, lied to and screwed over by them. Good riddence a failure of a government, lets hope my fellow Aussies have developed a brain and can finally vote the crooks out.
